La Conner holds a special place in my heart. It was one of the first places I visited after moving to Seattle and the beauty of the region surrounding it blew me away. Each year, I make it a point to visit a few times a year and I discover new amazing businesses each time.
The La Conner Inn is a charming, boutique hotel nestled in the heart of the picturesque waterfront town of La Conner, Washington. This hotel was formerly known as The La Conner Country Inn, which first opened its doors in 1977, and changed ownership and names in 2021.
I had the pleasure of spending a few nights here in January and one of the standout features of the La Conner Inn is its exceptional service. The friendly and attentive staff go above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcomed and cared for, creating a home-away-from-home experience. From the moment you step through the doors, you'll be greeted with genuine hospitality and a commitment to making your stay amazing.
The La Conner Inn is one of the best places to stay in town and we’re going to dive into all that this property has to offer!
Location
The La Conner Inn is located in the quaint waterfront town of La Conner, Washington, in the heart of Skagit Valley. Skagit Valley is renowned for its annual Tulip Festival, a vibrant celebration of spring that attracts visitors from around the world and downtown La Conner is just minutes away from the flower fields! It’s also conveniently located about halfway between Seattle and Vancouver, BC, making it one of my favorite day trips or easy weekend trips from Seattle.
The inn itself is just steps away from the charming downtown area of La Conner, where visitors can explore unique boutiques, art galleries, and locally-owned restaurants. Some of my favorite places to visit when I’m in town are:
The Calico Cupboard for breakfast or lunch.
Nell Thorn for a nice dinner.
The Oyster & Thistle for dinner.
Walking Mod for all your outdoor gear.
Winston’s General for gifts and shopping.
If you’re looking to get outside and explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest, La Conner Inn is your perfect home base. Just a short drive away, visitors can enjoy hiking trails, kayaking on clear waterways, or observing the region's diverse wildlife. The always stunning Deception Pass State Park is just a short 20-minute drive from downtown La Conner. Here, you can hike and even see a whale if you’re lucky! Another favorite nearby place to hike is Anacortes where you can find great views from Cap Sante Park.
With its prime location, the La Conner Inn offers the perfect blend of small-town charm, natural beauty, and convenient access to nearby attractions, making it an ideal destination for a truly memorable Pacific Northwest getaway!
