If you're looking for a quiet, cozy coastal getaway in Washington and want to feel like you've escaped to your own private beach home, Seabrook is the place for you. Located just south of Pacific Beach on the coast of Washington, Seabrook is a charming little town that boasts a small-town atmosphere with plenty of restaurants and shops just blocks from the sandy beach, and the vacation homes are beautifully designed and decorated. With hundreds of Seabrook rentals to choose from, you’re bound to find a coastal retreat that perfectly suits your needs. Seattle to Seabrook is only a 3-hour drive and a 3.5-hour drive from Portland which makes it the perfect weekend getaway.
What is Seabrook Like?
Since Seabrook is located on the coast of Washington state, it’s a great place to rest your head if you’re doing a Washington or northern Oregon coast road trip like I did earlier this year. But Seabrook is so much more than that and is worth staying a few nights. This unique town had my attention the moment we turned into the community and it will immediately make you think of the ideal American coastal town. Seabrook was thoughtfully developed and is made up of nine neighborhoods all with their own distinct style with over 500 vacation homes and counting as they’re still developing more neighborhoods to this growing community.
The developers of Seabrook really thought of everything, too! And since everything is walkable and there is so much to do, there’s not really any reason to leave the town during your stay at all. There are 18 parks in the town and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. We saw deer grazing on one of the trails in the morning and it was a great way to start the day! There are so many different ways to spend your day no matter what age you are, from candle making to playing at the beach or swimming in the new outdoor pool to playing pickleball. Seabrook also has numerous restaurants and shops, as well as a huge, brand new grocery store that opened in the summer of 2023.
All of the Seabrook rentals have fun witty names such as That's What Sea Said, Easy Breezy Cottage, and Good Day Getaway which is the one I stayed in and highly recommend. Some vacation rentals are pet friendly and some even have ocean views - all have air conditioning of course.
Good Day Getaway Vacation Home
Good Day Getaway is a charming vacation home located in the heart of Seabrook. This spacious house can sleep up to 8 guests with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, and it offers plenty of space for everyone to relax throughout the day and evening. Like the developers of Seabrook, the owners of Good Day Getaway also thought of everything you may need while staying in their home and vacationing in Seabrook, which was truly spectacular. The kitchen is spacious, the living room is perfect for relaxing after a great meal, and there’s even a desk with a 27” monitor if you need to get a little bit of work done - Good Day Getaway truly has it all!
Inside This Seabrook Rental Home
The interior of the vacation home oozes coastal vibes with blue accents, glass pendant light fixtures in the kitchen and dining room, oversized swivel chairs, and the coolest jellyfish wallpaper in the powder room. The property features an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area complete with island barstool seating for four, a dining table for eight, and a gas range that’s perfect for making a fresh meal with groceries from Fresh Foods Market. The large kitchen is full of all necessary amenities you’ll need for cooking including blenders, roasting pans, slow cooker, rice cooker, small fryer, hand mixer, storage supplies, and a Nespresso Vertuo Next with carafe. The kitchen is also stocked with basic necessities such as mugs, dinnerware, and cutlery. The living room at Good Day Getaway is perfect for groups and features a large L-shaped couch, two fun circular swivel chairs, a Sonos turntable with a vinyl collection to suit any mood, and a variety of games!
As mentioned previously, this perfect vacation home has three bedrooms; the main floor has one of the king bedrooms with an ensuite bathroom with double sinks, which is where I stayed and had more than enough space to relax and the bed was extremely comfortable! The second king bedroom is located upstairs with an ensuite bathroom and private deck with two Adirondack chairs that are great for enjoying your morning cup of coffee. The third bedroom comes with a queen-sized bed, and there is also a media room upstairs with Smart TV, Xbox, guitar, and a variety of DVDs. The couch in the media room can also be pulled out for extra sleeping arrangements if your group is larger. All the bedrooms are equipped with charging stations, luggage racks, blankets, and extra bedding.

The Backyard at Good Day Getaway
The small backyard itself is also quite impressive; there's an outdoor living area complete with a fire pit where you can roast s'mores after sunset, as well as plenty of seating options so everyone can gather around while enjoying some quality time together outside under clear skies. There is also a gas grill right off the back doorstep and a large hot tub that can fit about six people comfortably. Time in the hot tub was one of my favorite ways to end the day during my stay! There are two gravel parking spaces located in the back of the house just outside of the wooden fence which is where you’ll also find the garbage and recycling bins. The front of the home has a porch with four Adirondack chairs that welcome you from the street.
Seabrook is a wonderful place to visit for couples, families, and friends, and Good Day Getaway is one of the most amazing Seabrook rentals you can find! The owners are very communicative and are available to answer any of your questions to ensure you have a fabulous stay. The town offers plenty of unique activities, restaurants, and shops for visitors to enjoy during their stay. Whether you're looking for a beach adventure or just want some peace and quiet away from work or home life - Seabrook has something for everyone!
Happy travels!
